Experience
I am a PGA professional who has been in the golf business since 2002 and a PGA member since 2009. I have worked at a variety of world class golf facilities where I have taught lessons to a wide variety of people and skill levels. I have owned my own club assembling business and have worked with one of the Pacific Northwest’s best club fitters. I recently purchased TrackMan and have a Level 2 TrackMan Certification. It has always been a dream of mine to positively impact the lives of the golfers I work with in meaningful way. I truly enjoy my opportunity to be the Director of Player Development for the PGA Learning Center at The Home Course.
Teaching Philosophy
Consider the possibility that you may be far more able to develop skills and lower your golf scores, than you might ever imagine…
- When you you let go of self-interference and increase your awareness, you will see exceptional ability emerge. I don’t believe that we have to “get” a golf swing. I believe that we already have it. It’s becoming aware of what we have, already in our “toolbox” that will make us play better.
- My job as a coach is to help facilitate that learning, to help you become aware of what is going on with your golf swing. If there is no awareness, there is no improvement.
- During a lesson we will create an environment absent of judgment.
- Tips don’t work, you work. The only way that you are going to improve is to become aware of your swing.
I believe that to learn the golf swing all of us need to reach into ourselves to find the answers and it is my job as a coach to guide you in this discovery. Golf is a game of exploration and it is my job as a coach to guide the student in this process.
